Happy Gilmore 2 – Double Bogey

Genre: Sports Comedy

Director: Dennis Dugan (returning from the first film)

Starring:

Plot Summary:

Years after his legendary golf victory, Happy Gilmore (Adam Sandler) has settled into a quiet life with Virginia Venit (Julie Bowen), working as a kids’ golf instructor. But when a slick corporate golf league threatens to take over public courses—including the one where Happy teaches—he’s forced to dust off his clubs and fight back.

Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald), now a disgraced commentator, sees this as his chance for revenge. He manipulates the league’s CEO (a cameo by Will Ferrell) into setting up a high-stakes rematch: if Happy loses, public golf courses will be sold off to developers.

With his old mentor Chubbs (Carl Weathers) appearing in hilarious hallucinations (including a running gag where Happy argues with a wooden hand puppet version of him), Happy must reunite with his old crew—including Verne Lundquist and Bob Barker (in a surprise return).

Complicating things is the arrival of “Lucky” Gilmore (Kevin James), Happy’s estranged brother who claims he’s the real golf prodigy of the family. After a rocky start, the two team up, with Lucky’s unorthodox “hockey-golf” style complementing Happy’s infamous power swing.

Final Showdown:
In an epic 18-hole duel against Shooter and his new protégé (a cocky young golfer played by Pete Davidson), Happy and Lucky must win to save public golf. Cue:

Ending:
Happy wins, Shooter gets humiliated (again), and the Gilmore brothers open a nonprofit golf academy. Post-credits scene: The Sandman (from Waterboy) challenges Happy to a mini-golf showdown.
