Hollywood star Brad Pitt is reportedly eager to mend fences with his estranged children as his twins, Knox and Vivienne, approach their 17th birthday.
A Father’s Longing for Reconciliation
Brad Pitt, 60, has been largely separated from his younger children since his highly publicized divorce from Angelina Jolie in 2016. Sources close to the actor claim he is “desperate” to reconnect with Knox and Vivienne before they turn 17 on July 12.
“Brad misses his kids terribly,” an insider revealed. “He knows time is slipping away, especially as they’re nearing adulthood. He wants to rebuild those relationships before it’s too late.”
A Strained Relationship
Pitt’s relationship with his six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne—has been strained since the divorce, with some of the kids reportedly distancing themselves from him. While eldest son Maddox, 22, has been vocal about his rift with Pitt, the twins have remained more private.
“Knox and Vivienne have been under Angelina’s primary care, and Brad has had limited access over the years,” the source added. “But he’s hoping that as they get older, they might be more open to reconnecting.”

The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star has faced numerous legal and personal challenges since the split, including a lengthy custody battle and allegations of past misconduct (which he has denied). Though he and Jolie were declared legally single in 2019, their ongoing disputes over assets and custody have kept tensions high.
Despite the hurdles, Pitt has reportedly been working on himself—attending therapy and focusing on sobriety—in hopes of becoming a more present father.

With Knox and Vivienne’s 17th birthday approaching, Pitt is said to be hoping for even a small step toward reconciliation.
